By country, the main sources of copper foil imports (excluding copper alloy foils) in March 2025 were Taiwan, China, Malaysia, and Luxembourg, with import volumes of 4,471.9 mt, 853.97 mt, and 553.33 mt, respectively.

Copper foil imports increased in March 2025, mainly due to the rapid development of domestic AI servers and PV industries, leading to higher demand for high-end electronic circuit copper foil. Although production technology of mainland copper foil enterprises has continuously improved in recent years, some products still rely on imports. Export orders rebounded significantly in March, primarily driven by the growth in demand from the consumer electronics industry, especially as the electronics manufacturing sector in countries like Thailand continues to develop, providing market opportunities for copper foil exports.
